Dad sent me a great photo that he took at Monday’s parade, of the horse misbehaving when he was supposed to be leading two other horses in pulling a cannon down Main Street (click on image to enlarge):

Nah. Bad rider. And why on earth are they RIDING the draft horses? (Belgians, by the way) You should see the Amish around here maneuvering a team of draft mules; the driver stands up in the cart, or wagon, or whatever is being driven, and with long draw reins guides his team, usually of two pairs of horses. I’ve not seen a draft horse ridden while trying to drive it. That seems very odd. Maybe the horse was trying to say something…!
