Writer’s block.<\/p>\n

I can’t remember ever having it before.\u00c2\u00a0 But I have it now.<\/p>\n

Now that it’s summer, and I have plenty of time to write blog entries, it has become ridiculously hard to write those blog entries.<\/p>\n

Everything that I write comes out stiff, forced, painful, yucky.\u00c2\u00a0 It takes me four times as long to write something that I’m one-quarter as proud of.<\/p>\n

And on top of the awkward writing, I’m haunted by the voice of Cathie Mercier:\u00c2\u00a0 “Never use the\u00c2\u00a0word\u00c2\u00a0is<\/em><\/strong> in your writing!!”\u00c2\u00a0 Cathie used to circle every is<\/strong> <\/em>on our papers in red ink, and I swear I can see red circles all over my blog entries.<\/p>\n
