Last night we were making dinner, and I held up the last of the bunch of fresh asparagus from Verrill Farm.\u00c2\u00a0 “Want some?”\u00c2\u00a0 I asked Jim.<\/p>\n

“Um, no,” he replied, “How about those snap peas in the fridge?”<\/p>\n

“You don’t like asparagus, do\u00c2\u00a0you?”<\/p>\n

“I do,” he said, “Just not three nights in a row.”<\/p>\n

“But you didn’t have any last night!”<\/p>\n

“No, ” he said, “but you <\/em>did.”<\/p>\n
