Though I have to tutor for two hours this evening, I have today off from working at the library.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve settled down by the woodstove, freshly made banana bread by my side, my laptop in my lap, all ready for a no-pressure relaxing\u00c2\u00a0day of work on my blog.<\/p>\n

Then:\u00c2\u00a0 CRASH!!!\u00c2\u00a0 BANG!!!!\u00c2\u00a0 CRASH!!!!\u00c2\u00a0 The guys working on the new construction next door have chosen today to work on digging the septic system.\u00c2\u00a0 Our windows are rattling.\u00c2\u00a0 The house is shaking from foundation to roof.\u00c2\u00a0 The dishes are chattering in the cabinets.\u00c2\u00a0 The cats are little furry balls of\u00c2\u00a0anxiety.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

What I want to know is this:\u00c2\u00a0 why\u00c2\u00a0choose today, cold with a forecast of staying cold, to try to dig a septic system?\u00c2\u00a0 Isn’t the ground frozen a bit solid at this point (hence the shuddering of my entire house)??<\/p>\n

What I also want to know is how I’m going to be able to write anything coherent\u00c2\u00a0in the midst of this chaos.\u00c2\u00a0 Sigh.\u00c2\u00a0 All I wanted was a nice, happy day off.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
